Our placement process

Once we have received all your information through our nanny placement form, we are able to start the process of finding you the perfect nanny.

The more information we have, the easier it will be to find suitable candidates. We will go through your information and get in touch with you as soon as possible or call you at the requested time. 

The placement search is free of charge, and you only pay the placement fee once we have found the right candidate. Read more about our fees and rates in the FAQ below.

 

Our nanny requirements

Nordic Poppins hand pick our candidates to meet our criteria. We personally interview and do thorough background checks on all our candidates.

All of our candidates speak fluent English or/ and are multilingual. Many of our nannies have additional courses and are bubbly characters that are part of our team because they are reliable and flexible!

  • Non-smoker
  • Danish CPR number or EU citizen
  • Excellent references

Where do you service?

Our babysitting and nanny service is based in Copenhagen, Denmark. We serve Copenhagen and the area around Copenhagen, although hiring a babysitter more than 30 minutes out of the city will be charged additionally.

In 2019 we opened our travel nanny service. Our travel nannies will travel to anywhere in the world. You are simply required to pay for all the travel, accommodation and meals costs for the nanny during the trip.

What are your nanny requirements?

What type of nannies do you provide?

We have many students in our team, mostly from The UK, The Netherlands, Spain, and France. We also have both Australian and New Zealanders although non-EU citizens will often we restricted to holiday visas or a temporary working visa during their studies.

What are your fees and rates?

Our one-time placement-fee of 5000 DKK covers the placement of a permanent nanny less than 25 hours per week.

The placement fee for a position above 25 hours will be calculated by 5% of the employee’s expected annual gross salary.

For any positions below 25 hours a week, the hourly rate will be minimum 135 DKK/hour. For positions above 25 hours a week, the salary will be 135 DKK/hour.

The placement search is free of charge, and you only pay the placement fee once we have found the right candidate.
